Conference Musician

Tricia Alexander
Performing & Healing Artist
The Chicago Sun Times says Tricia Alexander is “one of Chicago's finest folk performers - always a little on the jazzy side.”  Humanities Iowa calls her, “a modern day Aesop,” and The Chicago Music Scene, 1960s and 1970s says, “The list of musicians she has shared the concert stage with reads like a who’s who of the Chicago music scene.”  Add to that The Folk Music Source Book - which places her "intelligent contemporary writing" in the same league as:  Holly Near, Cheryl Wheeler, Anne Hills and Christine Lavin – and you have insight into the Tricia, the performer,

The story behind those quotes spans 30+ years.  It’s filled with very human moments and with concerts, festivals, retreats, church services and community arts projects that carried Tricia into schools, theaters, cafes, hospitals and prisons across America, then into Canada and Great Britain.

Tricia is also a Reiki Master Teacher (Usui lineage) and BodyTalk Practitioner.
In 1991, when Tricia stepped onto the Reiki path, she immediately began using Reiki in her concerts, workshops and after school programs.  She went on to study with Quantum Physicist / Cellular Biologist, Bruce Lipton and Naturopath /  Master Teacher, Dr. Michael Ryce.  She also served apprenticeships with Meistra Kay Gardner and Patrick Henry (Founding Artistic Director of Free Street Theater).
