Spirit's Light Executive Team
Our executive team consists of 6 Spiritual Educators who have 60 years of Youth Ministry experience between us. We have dedicated ourselves to being a voice for our children and teens and to helping raise the awareness of the importance of these programs in our ministries.
Our children and teens are a part of our current congregation and they deserve the same respect; paid, trained leaders; and in-depth programs that exist in all other areas of our ministries.
We are equipping our children to look past appearances; to seek the TRUTH in every situation; and to recognize and honor the Christ within each individual. What more important job could we have? Our children will be the ones to set the tone for the future.

Diane is an Ordained Unity Minister, focusing in youth and family. She serves as the Great Lakes Regional Children’s Ministry Consultant and Youth Minister for Unity Northwest Church in Des Plaines, IL. She is one of the founding members of Spirit’s Light Foundation. Diane is the executive director of Diane Venzera, LLC, a corporation dedicated to developing and publishing curriculum materials for children, teens and adults; and maintaining her workshop and lecture schedule. She is currently the author of twelve curriculum books for youth ministry. - Team Member
Denny Balish, PCC, Professional Certified Coach, has dedicated her life to helping people reach their fullest potential, believing in the power of the human spirit to transform lives. She specializes in Life Purpose, Career Transition and Leadership Development coaching and provides seminars on leadership excellence within the business, educational and not-for-profit sectors. She uses a brain-based approach; blending neuroscience, quantum psychology, and core energy coaching to help her clients achieve extraordinary results.

Chuck passion for the environment led to a career in the green industry in Seattle and Michigan, in his own company and with other industry leaders. He currently is affiliated with Flowerfield Enterprises. It was a natural career move for the man who grew up on a cattle ranch in Montana. His passion for the environment is matched only by his passion for youth. Introduced to Unity at Unity of Kalamazoo in spring 1997, Chuck became Y.O.U. Sponsor that fall. In February 2009 he became Director of Youth Ministry. At regional conference that year, Chuck joined the Great Lakes EarthCare Team, and moved to Coordinator of that team this past December. Melding his two passions, Chuck and Y.O.U. Regional Communications Officer Ben Georgeoff, developed the Y.O.U. EarthCare Initiative.
